INTERCEPTOR III SERIES IV AUTO
ESTIMATE £18500 - £21000. Chassis number 22409828. From what we are informed this example found its second owner during 1976 and was to remain with this gentleman until 1997 when it was transferred to his step daughters name and then his widows name during the ladies ownership the car was never really used. the current registered keeper acquired the car during 2003. The car has a quantity of previous MOT certificates dating from 2004 along with a current advisory free MOT test until December 2026.
"The Jensen Chassis Data book by Richard Calver lists this car (Chassis - 2240/9828 & Engine - 4C12864) as an Interceptor III Series 4. 1 of 1,773 saloon cars of this type built, of which 589 were RHD UK registered cars. It was originally Tangerine with a black vinyl roof & black leather interior. It had a 440 cu in Chrysler V8 engine and Chrysler TorqueFlite 3 speed automatic gearbox. It was ex factory on 30 May 1974 (June 1974 from Chassis plate) and was registered in the UK. Options from factory were a stereo system (probably a Radiomobile RA108SR), Vinyl roof, louvred bonnet, internally adjustable door mirror, coach line (black)." From the paperwork with this car we believe the cars was initially registered as XPG7N and was to have the private number 9237AT allocated from around February 1984 until September 2003 when the car reverted to its original XPG7N registration number. THE SERVICE RECORD SHOWS A 5521 mile service by GUY SALMON (KINGSTON) LTD SURREY. during January 1975, there is also operating instructions for the 8 track stereo a large selection of 8 track cartridges and operating instructions for the TUDOR WEBASTO sunroof "The sunroof of the 70's" there are also two workshop manuals held for the car. Please note the current V5 has the incorrect cubic capacity recorded which should state 7212cc.
