This example was purchased new by an Edinburgh lady and when she gave up driving the car lay unused for many years in her garage, the car went on to have 3 further owners in the same area until purchased by the vendor over 20 years ago. the mileage is believed to be correct and there is a good quantity of associated paperwork offered with the car. We believe that the car has appeared in the films "Neds" and "Imogen". The vendor has stated that the car has been fitted with an Overdrive gearbox with the original retained within the cars boot, the car also has an alternator fitted. This car was well known on the local classic car scene in recent years. Introduced during July 1961 the Vogue was positioned above the Hillman Super Minx and the Singer Gazelle in the Rootes Group range. This is a Series II version launched during 1963 and notably had front disc brakes as standard, changes to the interior, removal of the chrome bonnet strip and a change to amber front indicator lenses.
